ManyPets They Choose Us

Project Overview: To mark Black History Month 2023, we collaborated with celebrated author Joshunda Sanders on a short film that explores the unique and complex history between Black people and their pets. Sanders’ work has appeared in Oprah Daily, TIME Magazine, Poets & Writers, The New York Times, Oxford American, and more – it’s a true honor to have her tell this story with us.

My Role: As Art Director, I guided the creative direction from start to finish, working with Joshunda Sanders to craft a compelling narrative. I was involved in every aspect of the film's visual presentation, from setting and wardrobe to overall ambiance. In addition, I assisted in the video editing process, ensuring the final film was polished and aligned with our vision.
